Since June 3, 2023, nothing has been heard of Sylvester Nout, now 36 years old. He then disappeared at night from a care facility on the Noord-Oosterweg in Radewijk. There are great concerns because Sylvester has difficulty caring for himself and needs medication.
Sylvester had been staying with the care organization since 2020 and had his own room there. He could go wherever he wanted, but in practice Sylvester almost always stayed on the premises.
In the months leading up to his disappearance, Sylvester was not feeling well. He was away for a short time twice during that period. Then he took a train and was fortunately found unharmed after a few days; once in Papenburg, Germany, and once in Roosendaal, the Netherlands.
On the night of Friday, June 2 to 3, Sylvester left the care facility shortly after midnight. CCTV footage showed him carrying a bag with his sleeping pillow and, in his other hand, a crossbow he had made himself. Since then, unfortunately, every trace has been missing.
