June 3, 1987 was Wednesday. Married Mr. Laughing in the 6th.

Very low population density in this area. Beautiful, but brutal & unforgiving terrain.

McDowell must have been driving. Apparently no one knows what he was driving? imho the location of that vehicle is important to locating Mr. McDowell.

Perhaps he stayed at The M & M Inn?

I do wonder what company(s) items he sold. Restaurant equipment, lodging supplies, cigarettes for convenience stores?

Not really additional information:

Was Des Moines on his sales route?

So many questions!

Vehicle
Employer/what he sold
Date of birth -- likely 1932-1934 if he is 54 in 1987.
Place of residence
Family members
Military service -- can anyone identify the branch or rank here?
