Family fears the worst after Taos man's disappearance

Jesus Quintanilla, 45, a father of three, was last seen leaving his job at Maria’s Restaurant in Taos in early January.

Surveillance video shows Quintanilla leaving Maria’s around 8 p.m. Jan. 8. He then walks toward a van, according to his family. He was having car trouble and had made arrangements for a ride.

I would be more worried about an accident if he wasn't getting a ride (two DWI's one with a .16 BAC, both space pretty fair apart time-wise though).

I left out charges dismissed for arson, child abuse, and domestic violence as well as vehicular infractions not involving alcohol. Again, not recent (2021). Not a pleasant read, but i don't see anything that jumps out that might be cause for him to go missing, all cases are closed, no jail time.

Maria’s Restaurant employee missing since Jan. 8

Jesus Quintanilla, 45, was last seen leaving his job at Maria’s Restaurant in Taos Jan. 8, but more than a month later, the tilemaker and father of three remains missing.

Surveillance video shows Quintanilla leaving Maria’s around 8 p.m. Jan. 8. He then walks toward a van, according to his family. He was having car trouble and had made arrangements for a ride.

“He went up to the young man who was waiting for him to give him a ride,” said Raphael Quintanilla, Jesus’ father. “The camera doesn’t see him actually go up the van door, but the police went and talked to him. He said when Jesus came up to the van, he told him he didn’t need the ride. The young man just returned to his home. From that moment, we have no real clue of what happened.”

Jesus Quintanilla, 45, who had been missing since Jan. 8 after leaving his job in Taos, was found dead near Tres Piedras this week. He is shown with his two daughters. He also had a son

Taos County Sheriff's Office led to body of missing Maria's Restaurant employee

The New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator will conduct an autopsy to determine Jesus Quintanilla's cause of death.
