I am really disgusted by these police shootings!! I just don't understand why anyone could think this is the answer...couldn't this have the consequences of police being even quicker to shoot - and stop any threat??

Rest in Peach, Officer...and please Bless each Officer as they start and end each shift!

A Sandoval County judge granted a motion to separate the cases against Andrew Romero and Tabitha Littles, the couple accused in the death of a Rio Rancho police officer...

In January, Eichwald will consider whether to relocate both trials, one trial or neither trial. Romero’s defense attorney Stephen Taylor said the judge also made it clear that if a venue change is granted in both cases, they will likely be held in different counties.

On Tuesday, a judge ruled to have the trial for Andrew Romero in the murder of Officer Benner to be moved to Valencia County...

A decision has not been reached for Littles.

A jury Friday afternoon found Andrew Romero guilty of first-degree murder and lesser charges in the fatal shooting of Rio Rancho police officer Gregg Benner. Benner was shot and killed on Memorial Day 2015.

Prosecutors said Andrew Romero is a callous cop killer.

His defense team said he’s a junkie and a robber but the state didn’t prove he is a murderer.
