State Police ask for help in finding missing Taos woman​

The New Mexico State Police are asking for the public's help in locating 40-year-old Samantha Sanchez, who was last seen in Taos on Feb. 22 and is believed to be in danger, according to a NMSP news release.

• Sanchez is 5'1" tall, and weighs 148 pounds.
• She has green eyes and brown hair.
• She was wearing gray sweatpants, a blue jacket and is known to carry a pink purse.
• She has often traveled to Albuquerque in the past.
• Call the NMSP at 505-425-6771 or call 911 if you have any information.

Samantha has been missing for over two months at this point. There’s no information about her family, relationship status, or what the phrase ‘believed to be in danger’ might refer to.

Since a description of clothing is provided, logic suggests someone must have seen her around the time she went missing. Who saw her, and where? Was she alone at the time?

Good questions. I also noticed that there is no vehicle mentioned and would think that pertinent information if she has one. So, assuming she doesn't, and she traveled to Albuquerque often, how did she get there? MOO

Agreed. No mention of a vehicle or phone so far but she must have some way to travel. Possibly she was able to ride with someone on these trips?

I’m wondering why Samantha would visit Albuquerque on a regular basis? Family or friends perhaps?
