Details of Disappearance
Alcantar was last seen in Las Cruces, New Mexico on February 2, 2007. His wife stated he left the house at 10:00 p.m., without his medication, and never returned. He doesn't own a vehicle and left on foot. He has never been heard from again.At the time of his disappearance, Alcantar's wife suspected he was having an affair with another woman. Police located and interviewed this woman, who told them Alcantar had been mistreated by his family both physically and mentally. She thought he might have gone to Mexico. A relative told authorities Alcantar may be living in Deming, New Mexico, an hour from Las Cruces.
Foul play is not suspected in Alcantar's disappearance, but it remains unsolved.

Police hope to find 63-year-old man missing since 2007
Sun-News reportLAS CRUCES - Las Cruces police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 63-year-old man who has been missing since 2007 and may now be residing in Deming.
According to a news release from LCPD, Trinidad Alcantar has been missing from his Las Cruces home since Feb. 6, 2007. Investigators learned that Alcantar did not have a vehicle at the time and walked away from his home.
No criminal activity is suspected in Alcantar’s disappearance.
Several attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful, police said. A relative of the man recently told investigators that Alcantar now may be residing in Deming or in the vicinity.
Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 that helps investigators find Alcantar. Anyone with information on where he may be is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip by text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.
