[h=1]3-year-old girl kidnapped in Sunland Park[/h]

EL PASO, Texas — Sunland Park police are on the hunt for a woman they say kidnapped her 3-year-old niece.

Police said 3-year-old Victoria Rodriguez was kidnapped by her aunt, 31-year-old Natalia Figueroa.

The kidnapping happened near Anapra Drive and Carlos Aguirre Court on Sunday morning.
According to police, Figueroa allegedly broke into her brother's house and kidnapped Victoria.

Sunland Park police officers are working with Border Patrol to locate Figueroa.

They have already issued a warrant for her arrest.

She faces charges of kidnapping and burglary.

Police say an unknown cousin also assisted in the kidnapping. Police say the girl was under the care of her father at the time. Officials say the girl's aunt also took care of the girl before for about six months.

Police say they were in contact with new Mexico State Police to issue an Amber Alert but the case did not qualify for one. Police is working with U.S Customs and Border Protection to locate the girl.
