A new coach Greg Heier, was hired as head coach. Very few team members had returned for this season and the culture of the new members and coach became very toxic. What we know so far is that one team member, and accomplices, killed a UNM player. What led to cance the season and forfeiting the rest of the games was that a student who was hazed with sexual abuse and being held against his will. The coach knew and didn't intervene.
