Aw, man, the brother was a preschooler.

That baby never did anything to deserve an end like that.

In the interview, the officer asked Reid if something happened that set things off for her. Reid responded, ”I guess about my mom running away from us.”

She told the officer her mother left on Dec. 15 and she had not heard from her since. She told the officer she was depressed about her mother leaving but also said they weren’t close. According to court filings, Reid's parents divorced in 2016.

The new criminal complaint also said Reid would watch her younger siblings during the week while her father was in school. She told the officer her brother has autism. “I asked her how she felt about being at home with the kids Monday through Friday throughout the week leading up the incident and Mashenka responded saying she got more and more angry from listening (to her brother) screaming.”

And I repeat - no preschooler deserves to be murdered. Autistic, neuro typical, easy going, hard work, disabled, non disabled.

Every four year old should get a chance to grow up.

what on earth??

The teen's terrified sister, aged just two, was located by police unharmed in a locked bedroom. Reid later told cops she planned to use a knife to 'stab or shoot her' but had been unable to access the room, according to court documents obtained by the Reno Gazette-Journal.

When asked what triggered her, Reid said she had been feeling upset about her mom running away. She told officers she had not spoken to her since December 15.

The report also stated that Reid told police she frequently was asked to watch her siblings while her dad was at work and that her brother has autism.
17-year-old girl shoots her dad and brother dead

Another kid that has access to unsecured firearms. This is a horrible incident. That poor 2 year old survivor.

Sounds to me like Mashenka is also a victim. She needs mental help and healing, not prison. This is a sad and unfortunate sequence of events cause by broken family values and loss of structure. In a normal world, her dad could get proper care for the little ones while in school or work so the 17 year old can be a normal high schooler and not crack under the immense pressure and stress.
