I saw that this was Pilatus PC-12 and thought it seemed like there have been crashes of it before. So I checked to see if there is a history. Results are all over the map. Some say it is super safe, some say it has a history of problems. I see it was the plane in the Chamberlain S.D. crash a couple years ago.

I see reports that the plane may have broken up in air. Very strange. Terrible tragedy. I was just reading about the pilot.

So that guy clearly thinks icing is the issue. It would explain a great many things.
