In the two months since former Wells resident Charles Kinkel mysteriously disappeared, little progress has been made in the effort to find him.
Kinkels wife, Trayce, said her husband went missing July 24 from Silver Peak in Esmeralda County where he had been working. Trayce said she talked to Charlie over the phone the night before, and tried to call him again the morning he was reported missing, but he never answered his phone.
Esmeralda County Sheriffs Office found his car, abandoned, near the junction of State Route 265 and U.S. Highway 95.

Trayce learned later that Charlie's glasses were not with him and he had left them at home, and she says there is no way that he could have driven that car to that location without his glasses.
"Someone else drove that car and it was not my husband," said Trayce. "Because he has to see with his glasses."
