<<59-year-old Don William Hesselgesser was last seen at his residence on Soda Lake Road on April 17.

On May 8, an email stating a vehicle was found stuck in the desert south west of town was relayed to the CCSO. After running the license plates visible in the photos, they learned that the vehicle did in fact belong to Hesselgesser.

Deputies then reported to the address associated with the vehicle and Hesselgesser's mother provided them with the date he was last seen.

Hesselgesser was not found in the area near the vehicle and since that initial search, there have been numerous aerial searches, ground searches on foot and by ATV and UTV, most recently in November.>>

<<Don Hesselgesser’s truck was located in the desert southwest of Fallon near the Moon Dunes area earlier this month. He was last seen at his residence by his family several weeks before his truck was located.

Police say it is not unusual for Hesselgesser to rock hunt and lose track of time while exploring. Air and ground crews have had no success locating Hesselgesser.>>
