Friends and family will remember Holly Quick Monday afternoon, only days after a break in the case to hold her killer responsible.

The memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm Monday at Summit Christian Church on Pyramid Highway.

Saturday Sparks Police announced the arrest of 28 year old Tamir Hamilton for the 16 year old's death.

According to online court records, in 2000 Hamilton was charged with murder and robbery in Clark County.

After apologizing to the family of his victim, a 30-year-old man was sentenced to death Friday night for the 2006 rape and killing of a Sparks teenager.

The same Washoe County District Court jury that convicted Tamir Hamilton of first-degree murder last week deliberated about six hours before reaching the decision on his sentence.

The victim, 16-year-old Holly Quick, was found dead in her bed by her mother after being raped and stabbed, authorities said.
