The rapper, who goes by the name 'TheBiggestFinn 4800' on his YouTube channel said in his song: 'I be the reason why he's dead, we still taunt him when he die, not the reason he's dead, so celebrate the reason why his mama cry.'

Wallace was pronounced dead on the scene and witnesses told the officers that they saw a black male run and drive away in a white car at the time of the crime.

Months later, witnesses came forward and authorities were able to lock in McDaniel as a person of interest.

On July 17 a detective from the LVMPD saw the music video that officially confirmed their suspicions of the rapper.
McDaniel was already in trouble with the law as he was on probation for a separate shooting where he targeted four people inside the Boulevard Mall in Vegas in 2018.

8News Now also reported that McDaniel said the word 'midget' in the video, which was Wallace's nickname.
