Search on after missing pickup found on Old Kingsbury

Douglas County authorities are looking for the occupant of a white pickup truck found on old Kingsbury Grade by a bicyclist on Sunday morning.
According to broadcast reports, the pickup is associated with a woman who has been missing for a week.

Missing woman's body found


The body of a woman missing since Aug. 26 was found down a canyon from where her white pickup was located by a bicyclist near Old Kingsbury Grade on Sunday.

Gardnerville Ranchos resident Randi Maclean, 51, was found after Douglas County investigators and members of the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue combed the area near old Kingsbury Grade for five hours.

Maclean’s white pickup was found with one door open near the area of Daggett Creek at about 10 a.m.

A California Highway Patrol helicopter did a sweep over the area not long after the pickup was found, but didn’t locate Maclean.

Procedure in unattended deaths requires that they be investigated as homicides.

No information has been released as to Maclean’s cause of death.
