Circumstances: Girard was last seen riding the #6 Citi Fare bus in the vicinity of Brinkby and Lakeside Drive in Reno, Nevada on November 22, 1993. She was on her way to work with a coworker, Grace Calinog, who saw her get off the bus, but she never arrived at work. Grace claims that Girard said she was going to care for someone at a private residence at the Sundance West Apartments on Clover Way. She got off the bus around 6:50am, and her destination was less then a block away.

Roberta was a care worker at a retirement home named the Manor at Lakeside.

Roberta immigrated to the United States in 1988. She was married to Donald Girard, who died on April 11, 1991. She has 5 children in the Philippines. She had family in the Reno area, namely her niece, Gloria Libang. She was planning to go back home to the Philippines for the first time in five years in 1993, but never came home.

Her passport has not been used since, and she has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case.
