Authorities have identified the two victims killed in a deadly stabbing spree on the Las Vegas strip that left six others injured.

Citing the Clark County Coroner's Office, multiple outlets report 30-year-old Maris Mareen DiGiovanni and 47-year-old Brent Allan Hallett, both of Las Vegas, were stabbed to death Thursday, just before noon.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has identified the suspect as 32-year-old Yoni Barrios, according to a news release.

Barrios faces two counts of open murder and six counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, in connection to the mass stabbing that occurred in front of a casino in the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, the release reads.

Video shows Barrios lunging at a group of showgirls, including DiGiovanni, outside the Wynn Las Vegas, prosecutors said.

Barrios told the group of showgirls he was a chef, police said. One of the showgirls told the police that Barrios asked to take a picture with the group with his knife. He thought the women were laughing at him and making fun of his clothing.

A surveillance camera then recorded him running down Las Vegas Boulevard toward Sands Avenue where he then stabbed Hallett.

The indictment means Barrios’ case will automatically move to district court. He was due to appear in court for his arraignment on the grand jury charges on Jan. 9. During that court hearing, prosecutors could reveal if Barrios would face the death penalty could a jury convict him

I hope they throw the book at this disgusting individual who caused so much harm and trauma to strangers. No word on possible bail but I hope there is no bail set because this loser definitely seems to be a threat to the public.
