Prosecutors allege a New York man kidnapped an 11-year-old girl he met online, with authorities later finding the child undressed in his bed.

Nicholas Wieber, 28, of Bay Shore, was arraigned Friday, Jan. 9, on charges including first-degree felony kidnapping, second-degree felony kidnapping and a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release.

Investigators say that Wieber allegedly began communicating with the child on Discord in early December.

Discord is a free communication app often used by children to coordinate and play video games.

Wieber's messages to the child quickly turned sexual, prosecutors allege.

Bay Shore Man Indicted for Kidnapping an 11-Year-Old Girl in Queens - Suffolk-County

After contacting the child’s friends, the mother learned the girl had allegedly been picked up by an older man, prosecutor said. She called the New York Police Department, which began searching for the child.

The investigation led police to Wieber’s Bay Shore address the following night. Suffolk County Police went to the home and allegedly found the child inside Wieber’s bedroom in a state of undress, authorities said. Cops arrested Wieber at the scene and the child was reunited with her family.
