The family of a Rockaway resident who has been missing since June 24, 2019 have appealed to the community for help
Argelis Santana Florentino, 36, was seen at his place of residence 12-61 Central Avenue #23A at 5 p.m. according to Detective Tsourovakas of the Deputy Commissioner Public Information (DCPI) office, who confirmed that a missing person’s report had been filed.
On the day he disappeared, Florentino was helped onto a Jamaica-bound Q13 bus by a family friend. Florentino, born on October 5, 1982, was wearing a black tank top with red cargo shorts and grey Converse sneakers.
“We have him as on a bus at 7 p.m.,” Tsourovakas said. “Before that, he was seen at his residence. He was seen in two different locations.”
Florentino’s cousin, Magdalena Volquez, told The Wave that he was last seen on Beach 9th Street “right by the Boardwalk” and is anxious for his safe return.
If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact DCPI at 646.610.6700.
