Brock did a lot of living in his short 24 years, passing away on January 12, 2021. A terrific athlete, he enjoyed creative writing and poetry and he was passionate about truly engaging with people from different cultures. He traveled and lived in numerous locations, spending time on five continents; two of his favorite trips were to West Africa and to Seoul, Korea. The Tallman/Curtis family started this endowed scholarship; in the hope, a male student with financial needs will use this opportunity to spark their sense of adventure and global understanding.

This is my neck of the woods. Sadly, Im here to report Brock has passed away. He led a fantastic life, far too short. Rest well in Heaven, Brock.

Do you know whether Brock's remains have been recovered from the water? If so, we'll move the thread to the 'Located' forum. If not, the thread will remain here but will be marked as 'Deceased/Not Found'. TY for updating.

I do not know of his remains were ever recovered. Unfortunately, the Niagara Falls can be very unforgiving. It is usually reported when a body is located, however it is not always followed up with identification to the public.

Thank you for replying. Considering his NamUs profile is still active and there hasn't been an official notification stating his remains have been recovered, we'll mark the thread as 'Deceased/Not Found' until further notice.

Details of Disappearance

Curtis was last seen at Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls, New York on January 12, 2021. He was seen entering the water near Prospect Point and not emerging.

Curtis graduated from Clarence High School and Niagara University, and studied abroad in South Korea, where he played baseball. At the time of his disappearance he lived with his parents, was receiving therapy and looking for work. After his presumed suicide his family became involved in several efforts to honor his memory. His mother walked Camino de Santiago in Spain, a 485-mile pilgrimage, and later traveled 3,000 miles across the United States by bicycle.

He is presumed drowned, but his body has never been located.
