Do we have a recon? I'd like to check the NamUs missing persons list for her, but I really really don't like viewing PM pics.

No recon, and a post mortem photo used as the main picture.
I would advise you not look

Thanks. Have accidentally seen enough un-spoilered, un-hidden PM pics to last me a lifetime. Hoping she gets a recon soon.

Unless it says “per law enforcement’ or something like that (except sometimes on a case-by-case basis), that doesn’t actually mean anything. “per NamUs” just means that the NamUs page has been down for at least a few days.

This person was identified in April 2025 through genetic genealogy as 21yo Sheila Delores Ramsey from the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. She had been bludgeoned to death and this is now an active homicide investigation.

All R Ramsey knew was what his grandmother had told him when he was about nine. M Ramsey, with whom he and his mother lived, sat him down and explained how one night he had a fever. His mother left the family’s Williamsburg apartment to get medicine, but never returned.
His grandmother also said she had filed a missing person report at some point and that Sheila Ramsey was later declared dead by the state.
