Police search for missing Elmont man last seen Friday


The hunt is on today for a missing man from Elmont.

Police say 67-year-old Carter Monroe was last seen on Baylis Avenue around 9 p.m. Friday.

News 12 is told he was driving a Gray Mitsubishi Galant.

His license plate reads GZU 7586.

The Missing Persons Squad is investigating a Missing Vulnerable Adult that occurred on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 9:00 p.m. in Elmont and was reported to Police on Sunday October 7, 2018 at 2:00 am.

According to detectives, Carter Monroe, 67, was last seen on Baylis Avenue. He is described as a male black, 5’8” tall, approximately 200 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen operating a Gray 2010 Mitsubishi Galant NY Registration GZU 7586.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding the above missing vulnerable adult to contact the Nassau County Police Department Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
