Buffalo Police are asking for your help in finding a young Buffalo man.

Police say Christian Thomas, 22, has been missing for almost three weeks.

He was last seen leaving his home on Domedion Street on December 30th. At the time, he was wearing dark jeans, a black thermal top and a burgandy Redskins jacket.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Buffalo Polcie confidential tipline at: 716-847-2255.

"Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives are investigating a homicide after a body was discovered Tuesday afternoon on Montana Avenue. Buffalo Police have identified the victim, as 22 year old Christian J. Thomas of Buffalo. His body was discovered between two vacant houses on Montana Avenue, by two men around 3:30pm Tuesday afternoon. After the discovery, the two men called 9-1-1 to alert police.

Chief of Detectives, Dennis J.Richards said, "It is not clear whether the victim was killed at the scene, where his body was discovered or someplace else".

An autopsy has concluded that the victim was shot twice. Buffalo Police identified Thomas as a missing person back in late December of 2007. Police reported that Thomas was last scene on December 30th."

Erik “Bucky” Donaldson, who was a federal corrections inmate until last week, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Christian J. Thomas...

Donaldson, who was charged with the killing in a 2008 indictment, was jailed in Alabama on a federal weapons conviction. With that sentence completed, he was brought back to Buffalo to face the murder charge.

Jurors deliberated more than eight hours before finding Donaldson guilty of murder in the second degree in the death of Christian Thomas, 22, of Buffalo.

Erik Donaldson is scheduled to be sentenced on September 13th; he faces 25 years to life in prison.

Nearly 10 years later, one of Christian Thomas’s good friends, Erik “Bucky” Donaldson, now 32, was sentenced by an Erie County judge to 25 years to life in prison for killing Thomas, hiding his body and leaving his family to wonder for years why he was killed.

“It’s clear that you put Christian Thomas and his family through a slow-burning hell,” the judge said. “To leave them wondering where he was for months and (wondering) who did it for years. You went back to his house like a vulture – to his house where his family lay asleep – and stole his jewelry.”

And, the judge said, when confronted with evidence that proved he had stolen the victim’s valuables, “You blame it on this crazy uncle of yours. That’s one of the biggest baloney sandwiches I’ve ever seen anyone try to shove down a jury’s throat.”
