Gail disappeared in Oct 24 1987. The earliest reviews I see of the fishing station mentioned seem to suggest it was more about the boats and fishing than meals and restaurant ambience, although it seems to have changed a lot over the years. (These days it's a full-service marina.) Gail Richards was petite at 5'0 and 120 lbs. Ralph's is located on the North Shore of Long Island in Mount Sinai Harbor. Late October is the very, very tail end of boating season. Do they think this was an accident where she fell overboard somehow or something else? Does any source note whether anyone was in her company when she rented the boat?

Someone might be drawn to that area for sea duck hunting at that time of year.
