''NEW YORK (AP) - A man stabbed two employees inside the Museum of Modern Art in New York on Saturday afternoon, leaping over a reception desk to attack them after he was denied entrance for previous incidents of disorderly conduct, authorities said.

Police said a 24-year-old male and a 24-year-old female were stabbed multiple times and both were in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital later Saturday. People posted on social media that museumgoers ran for the exits in confusion and chaos after the stabbing.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence & Counterterrorism John Miller said the man's membership was revoked for two separate incidents of disorderly behavior at the museum in recent days. The department shared photos of him late Saturday night asking for the public's help in finding him.''

Suspected MoMA stabber who knifed two staff claims he was FRAMED in bizarre Facebook rant | Daily Mail Online

He fled the scene and remains at large, despite making no effort to keep a low profile. On Instagram and Facebook, Cabana continues to taunt investigators.

In a response to one person in the comments section of his Instagram page, he said: 'Every person picked up in NYC has at least 30 priors. It's a fricking revolving door of justice.'

Cabana told The New York Post he wanted to look at Van Gough's Starry Night and was angry when staff refused him.

In another, he joked: 'Now gramps can take his nap and by morning the cops will...still be filling out paperwork?'

And in another, he claimed he was in Honduras and said: 'This is a perfect example of how f****d up our justice system is in the USA. Even if I turned myself in NYC has "no bail" provisions so I would walk in the front door and a couple of hours later be back on the street. Be glad I am in Honduras. Lotsa bad hombres here. I'm taking machismo 101 class just to keep up.'

<snip> Mr. Cabana’s last-known address was a supportive housing residence in Midtown operated by a nonprofit, Breaking Ground, offering shelter for the homeless, the mentally ill and those diagnosed with H.I.V./AIDS, the police said, and he had no prior arrests.

<snip> In the posts on Facebook and Twitter, a user writing as Mr. Cabana said that he had bipolar disorder and was “triggered” by a woman who tried to silence him when he laughed during a film.

“Bipolar is a tough road to hoe,” the user wrote. “Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde. THEN U get framed ind evicted from MoMA (not just the movies, ALL THE ART too) by a bitter old woman who shushes U when U LAUGH during a comedy.”

<snip> Mr. Miller <deputy commissioner for the Police Department’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Bureaus> said that he was “known to the department” because of two earlier incidents in the same area, and had been a regular at MoMA. But he did not have “an extensive record or any arrest records that we are aware of,” Mr. Miller said.

Hoping the victims recover both physically and mentally. Young people going to work in such a fabulous museum and they get stabbed.

Glad he didn't hurt people with the fire he set in Best Western.

Thank you Phillie's finest for checking a Filbert Street bench. This guy needs serious mental health services.
