Found Deceased NY - Jaime Nieves, 36, Binghamton, 3 Dec 2016

Jaime C. Nieves was last seen Dec. 3 around 11:44 p.m., in the area of Park Avenue in the City of Binghamton.

He has not had any known contact with friends, family or associates since Dec. 3, who say that is "highly unusual" behavior for Nieves.

This is local to me. I'm really curious what part of Park Ave he was seen last on because there is a very rural part but it goes right into town. There have been no searches that I've seen (I'm so local I live on the same avenue). I'm thinking about taking a walk. There's a waddy that is a pretty decent size ditch. I think I'm going to walk along it. It's supposed to be almost 50 tomorrow but it's been cold as heck here lately.

11:44 pm is an oddly specific time to be last seen so I wonder if he was dropped off from a vehicle to walk on foot somewhere.

A private property owner discovered the remains off of Meshoppen Creek Road in Bridgewater Twp. at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The remains, which investigators believe are male, are decomposed but not yet totally skeletal.

The body appears to have been there for “a period of months.”

Some additional features: approximately 30 to 40 years old when he died, the man was roughly 6 feet tall and had a medium to large frame. He also had tattoos.

(WBNG) -- According to Pennsylvania State Police, the human remains found in Susquehanna County on Tuesday have been identified as a Broome County man who was missing since December 2016.

According to a release, Jamie Nieves, 37, was reported missing to New York State Police on Dec. 3, 2016. Troopers say he was last seen in the area of Park Avenue in Binghamton.

BRIDGEWATER TWP. — State police at Gibson have identified human remains found Tuesday as a missing New York man.

Jaime Nieves, 37, of Binghamton, was reported missing to New York State Police in December. Troopers are still investigating to determine a cause and manner of death.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at Gibson at 570-465-3154.
