Has #UP9763 been ruled out?

This John Doe's skeletal remains were found with a "Dony" black duffle bag, one yellow plastic flashlight and one bottle of rum. He committed suicide via shotgun to the eye.

Opps. Looks like as per WS thread, Jose Flores III was ruled out.
Updated Namus link: Unidentified Person Case

Two ruleouts, William Higgins from PA and Jose Flores III from Kings NY.

But here's a strange coincidence if I ever saw one.

There is a Jose Flores who went missing a few months after this one on December 20, 1994 From Spring Valley, New York. This Jose Flores was 37 Years at the time of his disappearance and went missing wearing similar clothing to UP9763.
I am going to submit Jose Flores MP70532 instead!

Could this be him? Or has #UP13060 been ruled out?

i think it’s possible this could be Jose. WebSlueths thread here. 15 exclusions on this doe but none are Jose!

I am looping in @Lucy_Field I hope you can become a verified user and can talk more about your brother Jose. There's a ton of folks here willing to help find your brother if we can.

I can confirm that on Jose's NamUs page, the following cases have been excluded:
UP 12467
UP 1646
UP 10431
UP 454

I do have a question. Thanks to this thread, I see that MP22787 is also excluded from my brother's case. But on his NamUs page, under exclusions, MP22787 is not there, only the 4 cases that I listed above. Why would that be?

That’s a really good question and one that I don’t have the answer to offhand. Does anyone else with more experience feel comfortable hopping in and explaining why this might be the case?

Did you copy the NamUs ID correctly? There is no MP22787 (which would be a missing person) and no UP22787 (which would be an unidentified body) in the system.

You're right. I was copying and pasting too quickly. I meant UP9763 is excluded from my brother's case. But I only know that from this thread. UP9763 is not listed as an exclusion on my brother's page.

Your brother is listed as an exclusion on the NamUs profile for that body. NamUs is a somewhat finicky website and stuff like this (a non-matching comparison of 2 people showing up on one person's page and not the other's) is very common.

Thank you so much for that information! I did not realize that but will keep it in mind.

Does anyone have any tips or advice as to how I can find out what other cases my brother has been compared to and excluded from on the Namus website? Other than the ones on his own profile page?

I would get in-touch with the people listed as being in-charge of his case under “Contacts”. There’s no way to do that efficiently using just the database itself since there are 15,000 entered profiles for unidentified remains.

I realized I never came back to this thread to say that I submitted this as a match via the Doe Network back in April and have emailed to see if they submitted it to law enforcement. @Lucy_Field, do any of these belongings look like things your brother may have had? The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
I do remember my brother wearing high top sneakers but I can't recall if he ever wore Fila brand. And I do not remember him ever wearing a medallion of St Jude. But the last time I saw him was 7 months before he disappeared so he could have had jewelry that I was not aware of. And up until July 1994 he did not have plates and screws in his left elbow. He did have a scar on one of his knees after he was shot in the early 90's.
