A Greece man accused of killing his wife and daughter returns to court Tuesday.

David Zacher is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his wife Karelin and daughter Halle, 4. He also faces assault charges for attacking his daughter, Elizabeth, 3.

A Greece man who murdered his wife and daughter wants to contact his surviving children... Zacher stabbed to death Karelin, 34, and Halle, 4, on April 8, 2005 inside their home. He seriously injured 2-year-old Elizabeth. Now, Zacher wants to have a relationship with Elizabeth, 8, and son Tyler, 13. Zacher wants to send them letters and cards from prison.

The District Attorney's office is filing paperwork to extend an order of protection for the rest of Zacher's life to prevent him from contacting the children. "He's not their father anymore," said Stephanie Hallen, Karelin's sister. "They have been adamant. They don't want anything to do with him"...

Zacher is serving life in prison without the possibility of parole.
