BPD Looking for Missing 19-year-old Male

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -
Police are searching for a missing 19-year-old male who was last seen on the morning of Monday, April 9.

The Binghamton Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding Kyle P. Nowalk. Police say he was last seen in the area of Helen and Main Streets in Binghamton. Officials said he has ties to the Vestal and Smithville Flats areas and does not have a permanent address.

Nowalk is described as a white male, 5'11'', weighing about 180 lbs, and has short brown curly hair.

BPD said Nowalk's family is concerned with his welfare, he suffers from mental health issues and a developmental disorder, they said he is most likely off of his required medications.

Kyle is a missing 16-year-old child with Asperger's syndrome and Schizophrenia and may be in need of medical attention. He was last seen wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt with a black dragon design, dark green pants, white sneakers and a black draw string style backpack. Kyle is believed to be in the local area.

Missing for more than a month, Binghamton 19-year-old found safe in Town of Union

Police said Nowalk identified himself and asked for the deputy's assistance, and the deputy recognized Nowalk as a missing person. Nowalk was hospitalized for a health evaluation and personal care as a precaution.
