Massive search to resume Monday for missing Long Island teen

A massive search will resume Monday morning on Long Island for Louis Germosen, 19. He was last seen leaving his home in Westbury on June 28th.

On Sunday, his father and stepmother say they received an anonymous text saying they should thoroughly search Hempstead Lake State Park.

Family members of a missing teenager say they fear the worst, and possible MS-13 gang involvement, as an anonymous text message prompted investigators to search a Long Island park Monday.

"We've been hearing about some gang affiliations. That he might have been hanging out with the wrong people. We recently got a message that he might have had some people hanging out with some MS-13. I'm not 100 percent sure, we just got that tip last night."

Cryptic Text Prompts Park Search for Missing NY 19-Year-Old

Authorities are searching with cadaver dogs and a dive team in Hempstead Lake State Park for missing 19-year-old Louis Germosen. Authorities believe he may have died at the hands of the MS-13 gang, the source said.

Germosen, missing since June 28, is presumed dead, and his death is being investigated as a possible MS-13-related murder, according to the source.

Police To Resume Search For Missing Long Island Teen

Police divers are set to return to Hempstead Lake State Park Tuesday to look for a missing Long Island teenager.

About 40 officers searched the dense brush where the teen is said to be on Monday. Police said there is still a chance the text messages were a hoax.

I just cannot imagine getting these messages:

A family member then received an anonymous cryptic text message this past weekend, saying that various locations should be searched, including Schodack Pond in Hempstead Lake State Park...
It also said "good luck, god bless."
Germosen's family also said they got a text from someone saying that the teen's cellphone was found in Manhattan. It’s one of many leads police say they are pursuing.

I agree, something is strange. But glad he’s alive. Hope he stays away from MS13.
