A 50-year-old California tourist said he was approached by a man and the boy around 11:50 p.m., the man asked him if he wanted to have sex with the boy for $300. The tourist said no, left the park and called 911. The man claimed to be the boy’s father
The white man was described as having dark hair, clean shaven, wearing a black coat with a furry hood and blue jeans.
The child was wearing a distinctive orange or red jacket, described as being lightweight and spring-like.
Police searched the area of Central Park near the Bow Bridge on West 74th Street on the west side. No arrests have been made.
