Despite sporadic updates, Matt Sisson is still missing as his family is frantically working with local agencies to find him.

Sisson has been missing since Friday, January 26th at 7am at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, and has not been seen since that time. He does not have his phone. He was last wearing red pajama pants and a dark blue EMS jacket with "Chenango Ambulance" on the front. Sisson is 6'2, 215lbs, and bald with brown eyes. He's possibly confused and very sick.

A search party was organized yesterday to canvass the area of Fly Creek, New York. The search was called off at dusk when no trace of Matt or his belongings were found, and the search is now shifting back to Cooperstown and the area of Bassett Hospital.....

I lived almost three weeks with a burst appendix, so it's possible he is alive but in excruciating pain.

Missing Otsego County Man Found Deceased

A massive search took place Friday in the Village of Cooperstown for Matt Sisson.

The Cooperstown Police Department said that at 11:15 Friday morning, "a member of the Otsego County Sheriff's Office located a deceased male in the Susquehanna River. The body was identified as 45-year-old Matthew V. Sisson of Otsego County."

Sisson's family said that he did not get far from the hospital before he passed away.
There is no word yet on the cause of death.
