The New York State Police Investigative Support Unit is activating an AMBER Alert on behalf of the Warren County Sheriffs Office and is investigating a child abduction that occurred in LAKE GEORGE NY at approximately 09:40 PM on July 19, 2025 (TIME HAS BEEN CORRECTED to 9:40 PM).

The CHILD, MELINA FRATTOLIN is a Indian Female, approximately 9 Years Old with Brown Hair and Brown Eyes. She is approximately 5 feet 00 inches and weighs about 100 pounds. MELINA FRATTOLIN was last seen wearing BLUE AND WHITE STRIPED SHIRT SHORTS WHITE ADIDAS SNEAKERS.

The SUSPECT: Unknown

THE CHILD WAS TAKEN UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES THAT LEAD THE POLICE TO BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE IN IMMINENT DANGER OF SERIOUS BODILY HARM AND/OR DEATH.

There are two exits that go to Lake George, 21 and 22. 22 is the more northern of the two.

Selkirk’s exit 22 is off of a different road.

"This is an interesting exit in that it is a small expressway that starts on NY 9N north of the village and goes over US 9 to bring the traffic to the Northway. It also has that rest area on the west side, which is a good place to take a snap of the village and Lake George"

I’m unclear if she was taken in Lake George and someone saw her in van on the road? Or was she taken from the rest stop at that exit?

The Amber Alert was issued just before 1:30 Sunday morning. According to the Amber Alert, no suspect has been identified.

The initial release said Frattolin was last seen at 7:40 p.m., but was later changed to 9:40 p.m.

So, NY police have been looking for her all night.

This article, from a news outlet in Syracuse, NY says the van was seen at the Selkirk exit, which is about 72 miles south of Lake George
