* Approximate Height and Weight: 5'6" - 5'9"
* Distinguishing Characteristics: Dark hair. Muscular enough build to be a weightlifter or laborer. He had a chronic respiratory infection and arthritis.
* Dentals: Available; several cavities.
* Clothing: He was wearing black Levi 550 jeans, a blue hooded pullover sweatshirt, and a black Hanes t-shirt with the words Puerto Rico, white palm trees, green and yellow iron-on type design, and black Reebok sneakers, size 8.
* Belongings: Yellow plastic flashlight and a bottle of rum in a black duffle bag.
Case History
Sometime around late 1996, the man packed a yellow plastic flashlight and a bottle of rum in a black duffle bag, and headed a few hundred feet off Harvey Road, near the Colonial Hill apartment complex. Then he sat down with his back against a tree, put a pistol to his left eye and pulled the trigger.
By the time a logger stumbled upon the decomposed remains on March 22, 1997, the man had already been dead at least one winter, maybe longer.
