If you look at his twitter account it states he is/was tweeting through a friend's personal assistant. He did not have the ability to tweet directly from prison.

“A Bronx Tale” actor Lillo Brancato Jr. sounded as if he was back on his old movie stomping grounds when he opened up about his stint in prison for his real-life role as an accomplice to a cop’s murder."

“I thought about [my past career] a lot and [it] reminds me of a saying someone once told me,” Brancato told “Entertainment Tonight.”

“ ‘It takes a second to get in trouble and a lifetime to get out of it,’ and I think about that every day because I did have many great opportunities . . . and made the horrible choice to use and abuse drugs.”
