Prosecutors in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial say attorney Mark Geragos should be admonished not to speak to the press during trial.Geragos was in court with Diddy yesterday but has not formally appeared in his case. His daughter Teny has; she works with Marc Agnifilo.

Diddy's successfully excluded a prospective juror who took a cynical look at the legal system ... keeping a woman off the jury who thought the rap mogul might be able to purchase his freedom.

While she didn't say she couldn't be fair, apparently she wrote on the questionnaire that the rap mogul has money and could potentially buy his way out of trouble.

The judge granted a request by lawyers Wednesday for extra time to decide who they will eliminate from the list of prospective jurors.

The jury in the sex trafficking trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs isn’t expected to be finalized until Friday, two days later than expected.

Judge Arun Subramanian granted a request by lawyers Wednesday for extra time to decide who they will eliminate from the list of prospective jurors. It's the last step of a jury selection process that began when potential jurors filled out questionnaires last week.

A reminder that most of the “coverage” of Diddy’s trial is from people who aren’t actually there.If you want to know what’s actually going on, follow reporters who are on the ground and have the credentials to bring electronics into the courthouse.

If I was supervising this case back at the SDNY, my advice to my fellow prosecutors would be to keep it lean and keep it focused. Don’t dwell for long on the sex stuff. Don’t parade around the courtroom with the lube and the IV drips. Don’t sermonize or finger-wag. We want to vilify this defendant, sure, but don’t ever let it seem like we’ve got it in for him or that we resent his wealth and fame. Focus sharply on the victims and the violence. The jury won’t convict Combs merely if they believe he’s horrible and greedy and grotesque; they’ll convict him only if prosecutors prove he’s a criminal and that he broke the specific laws they’ve chosen to charge.

Excellent insight. The salacious parts of this trial, should be secondary. As is the excess money and lavish parties.

After all, throwing parties and being wealthy is not against the law. Or having 10,000 bottles of baby oil.

Focus on the crimes. My issue is SC "plausible" Deniabilty. Are any of his entourage members charged? I don't think so. That may be a problem.

Is that baby oil back from toxicology yet?
I am not committed to saying the babyoil is legal at all. I bet all 10,000 bottles are illegal.

Has he been charged for that? All the baby oil with however many grams of whatever drug ,his people were putting into it? He could get life on those charges alone. Who is being joked here?

In real broke people world..They come for you in inches. They trying get this out like a 600 yard dash.

Yes- I was going to reply along these lines. The tons of bottles of oil they found isn’t just oil- it’s likely laced with drugs that we’ve heard about through the victims reports. This alone is enough to convict him of a lot.

Outside court for expected opening statements in the Sean “P Diddy” Combs trial. I asked his lead defence lawyer Marc Agnifilo how Combs was feeling. A large number of Combs’ family are also in court, including his mum, sons and 17 year old twin daughters.
