GUILTY NY - Sean "Diddy" Combs guilty re prostitution charges but NG of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, 17 Sept 2024

Prosecutors say they’re no longer going to argue attempted kidnapping, attempted arson and aiding and abetting sex trafficking as liability for Sean “Diddy” Combs’ racketeering conspiracy charge.

The FEDS made it look like there was significant incriminating evidence. What were they thinking? They had to hear or see something in order to indict him. The prosecution dropped the charges that I thought were a done deal. It’s disappointing that it was such a dramatic move to now him not being charged.

If he escapes prosecution it will embolden him more, alot more. He already thinks he is God. He is going to tell everyone that he is untouchable. He’s too “special” to be prosecuted.

An attorney said that the Feds usually throw a wide net of charges before knowing the facts to cover their case.

I’m listening to the guy who was an exotic dancer on CT. Look for it on YouTube, it’s very interesting. He said he had never had contact with SC, as in, he was in the corner with a mask on with only his eyes exposed (of course). Cassie would recognize SC voice asking her to do something, so she was the one who gave direction to the guy.

He didn’t find out it was SC for a good while. He was paid 4x his rate with additional money as a tip. Cassie would give him cash as soon as he got there and more as he left. He said he worked with them 8-12 times.

Diddy used ‘power, violence and fear,’ prosecutors say in closing arguments

NEW YORK — Sean “Diddy” Combs used “power, violence and fear” to run a criminal enterprise, prosecutors said Thursday as they walked jurors through a “road map” of testimony and evidence during closing arguments in the music mogul’s sex trafficking trial.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik led the start of the government’s five-hour presentation by outlining the charges against Combs, who has pleaded not guilty to two counts of sex trafficking, one count of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

“He doesn’t take no for an answer,” Slavik said of Combs — a refrain she repeated often during her summation.

The prosecution, which spent more than six weeks in Manhattan federal court presenting evidence of Combs’s alleged crimes, stressed to jurors that he did not need an army of co-conspirators to be found guilty of racketeering and that “one single” act of alleged coercion against an accuser would be enough to convict him of sex trafficking.

I certainly hope it’s enough!

Defense says 'complicated' relationship with Ventura was 'great modern love story'

Agnifilo portrayed Combs' sex marathon, drug-fueled hotel nights or "freak offs" as pleasant experiences in "beautiful hotel rooms" with great music.

He said “there is no way on this earth” Combs was ever going to release videos of these sex encounters.

“Looking at the videos, you heard from ‘Jane,’ there is a rapport … everyone is smiling, it is a sex party, they are eating food, Cassie is eating watermelon, they are listening to music, the two escorts called to testify said there was a lot of talking and hanging out,” he said. "There is a nice quality to these evenings."

I imagine Agnifilo wished he’d been there! 😡

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and son Justin accused of rape in new US lawsuit

The suit accuses Sean Combs of a “pervasive history of sexual assault and violence”.
“The conduct described herein is strikingly similar to how [the] defendant Sean Combs and his entourage conducted themselves for many years, and it appears that Combs’s penchant for sexual violence is shared by his son,” the suit states.
The woman is seeking compensatory and punitive damages for the assault, which, according to the suit, left her with “severe emotional distress, emotional anguish, fear, anxiety, humiliation, embarrassment, physical injury, emotional injury and trauma”.
In a statement to media, Combs’s legal team denied the allegations, stating that “anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason”.

Jury's note says they're concerned one juror can't follow instructions

The note from the jury reads: “We have a juror, No. 25, who we are concerned cannot follow your honor’s instructions.”

The foreperson also asked to speak with the judge or that the juror be interviewed.

Judge Arun Subramanian is waiting on the bench, and he has not made a decision yet.
