'Pravda': How cops got confession in Lysander murder

"Syracuse, NY -- An Onondaga County detective testified that she wasn't getting far with suspected murderer Pande "Pete" Trifunovski in the disappearance of his wife.
The suspect did not appear to like having a woman interview him, at one point calling one of her questions "stupid," lead investigator Detective Laura Collins testified.
Trifunovski, 68, was a possible suspect at this point, but authorities needed his cooperation to find out what happened to his missing wife, Snezana "Suzie" Trifunovski, 62.
Eventually, Detective Rafal Dobrowolski entered the room at sheriff's headquarters downtown.
A fellow Eastern European, Dobrowolski broke briefly into his native Polish to build a rapport with Trifunovski, who was from Macedonia.

Lysander man wants trial in wife's murder moved out of county
Dec 5, 2018
"Syracuse, NY -- A Lysander man accused of murdering his wife argued today that media exposure has ruined his chance for a fair trial.
Pete Trifunovski, 69, is facing what will amount to a life sentence for the January beating and strangling of his wife, Suzie, inside their home along the Seneca River, just off River Road.
Onondaga County sheriff's deputies say Trifunovski killed his wife, then hid her body in a storage unit...
Trifunovski is headed to murder trial next week....
It's unclear what Moynihan's strategy will be at trial. The lawyer has previously said it appeared Trifunovski killed his wife in a fit of passion. But even if the jury agreed, that would likely not be enough to lower his punishment below the plea offers made before trial.
Jury selection begins Monday. Trifunovski remains jailed."
