The two attackers — dressed head-to-toe in black — ran up behind their target, with the first suspect delivering a punch to the back of her head.

The victim, 58, was nonchalantly checking her cell phone as she walked down Monroe Street in Two Bridges around 2 p.m. when the would-be muggers — dressed head-to-toe in black — ran up from behind, surveillance footage shows.

yes like was that really their goal or were they hired to assault her? I think she was probably instinctually holding onto it which didn't make it easy for them but they could've gotten it off her arm if they really wanted it IMO

Looking at the video again, the attacker with the bat appears to be white. Also appears to have shapely legs. The victim dropped her phone. They didn't pick it up. All very strange.
