Victoria Grabowski was found safe in Nottingham. Nottingham is about 128 miles north of London.

One man was arrested in connection with the case by London Metropolitan Police.

You can also live independently as a 16 year old. And her Polish citizenship gives her the right to live/work/study etc. in the UK (well, for a bit).

At least she's in England and not somewhere like Syria! Chances are she's met (online) and fallen in love with an older man and is holed up in a nice hotel with him somewhere being treated like a princess. Hope so, anyway. Fingers crossed.

IMO, the type of "older man" who thinks it's appropriate to lure a child to another country (or anywhere for that matter) is a dangerous creep, and / or seriously delusional if there is no malicious intent.

Bit confused about the arrest. If it's say a bloke of 18-25 for instance. Age of consent in the UK is 16. Could have been having a long distance relationship? Not sure what the criminal intent it here. Be surprised if he's charged unless it's been going on since before she was 16.

Still confused as to how she left Sat and arrived Monday. That must be an error? There are lots of nonstop or one-stop JFK -> London flights and none would require that much travel time, even with the time difference.
