Amanda Reynolds of Woodbury said she would like her chance to join the US Navy SEALs.

The US Navy officials failed to advance Amanda S. Reynolds’ application, then told her in the fall that she would no longer qualify for Naval Officer Training Command in Newport, RI, because she’d be over the age limit of 42 by the time she graduated, according to court papers.

Many professional athletes play into their 40s now. See, ie, LeBron James and Tom Brady.

If the Navy has 42 as the age limit, they then presume 42 is not too old.

So why do you? And what makes it seem like a temper tantrum and not a legitimate legal claim based on military law and rules?

I'm wondering if you would ask the same if was a man complaining? I don't understand why you would question her motives.
