These articles were difficult to read in places, but this is the kind of information we (society) need. We should make more noise about this and force the powers that be to make it a priority to stop this abuse. And I know there is no way to prevent all of it, but surely we can minimize it and the number of children being tortured.

That's really odd. FB Messenger would be the last place I'd exchange anything I (a) didn't want public, and (b) didn't want attached to my identity. I guess they're doing this with fake profiles, but it's a dangerous game. FB has made it their business to know who they're talking to.

I'm hitting paywalls on those articles but I think I saw there were 45 MILLION images flagged last year?!!! And does that mean there's more that weren't flagged??? Ugh.

Yes. And I’m sure there’s more. And that was more than double the previous year. Sigh.
