Obscenity citation to ABERCROMBIE & FITCH manager...

I don't think it's a big idea. Usually folks here are way more uptight about nudity, implied or otherwise.

Many should go live in Europe where it's a fact of every day living if they think our ads are risque. Or better yet, maybe they shouldn't. They might pass out if they saw the programs and billboards there lol

All true. some would be shocked here in Germany! :)

I don't see why some big chain store that caters to teens or juveniles should be allowed to break obscenity laws. People complain about teens getting pregnant and molesting, so why allow pics of 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and buttocks to become commonplace in teen stores.

I'm really surprised that the objections over this photo came from the Lynnhaven Mall store. I always thought the people of Virginia Beach were a little less conservative than the other cities. I guess it goes back to the leaders wanting to make the city "family friendly".

I hadn't seen the picture before today and I have to say I thought it would be more risque than someone's crack showing. I agree with the other posters that I've seen other ads for A&F that were borderline obscene more so than this one. I guess it's just a matter of who frequented the store at the time they were posted.

BTW, Floh and Spaz, we're neighbors (sorta since we're all in Hampton Roads).

Actually I think it will bring in MORE business for Abercrombie & Fitch.
There target is young people...
It didn''t offend me with the picture ad.
Your right BhamMama, I'd have red face all day in Europe.

lol that picture is not even close to being that bad at all....i have AF bags allll over my room that are 20 times worse than that picture!!

I'm guessing that the choice of the photo that got published was one of the less offensive ones so that the paper won't get in trouble for using a more obscene one.

According to their website...you have to work in their stores for them to be a model for them.

That is true, you do have to work in the stores in order to model.

I'm not a prude by any stretch but we do come from a conservative country and I'll admit it was shocking the first couple of times I saw tv programs.

They just seem to have a way more relaxed attitude about nudity and sexuality in general.

Not that I think 🤬🤬🤬🤬 should have a place but basic nudity was everywhere! My grandmother and mother were very uncomfortable seeing them. My grandmother would get up and walk out of the room during commercials lol

Im showing how out of touch I am with popular culture but I think the picture is both poor taste and of questionable content. I dont think its appropriate material for a clothing store geared to teenagers. I guess Im just really out of touch.
