Occasional Slowdown on Google Chrome When Doing a Search

Dear WS,

I wish to report an occasional bug with Google Chrome where when using the search feature, there will be an occasional hang for about 30 seconds to 1 minute before search results show, Other times, the search function is fast. In fact, when it works more often than not, the site loads very fast.

The problem seems to be an intermittent issue with the search feature. Have not tested on IE 8, which is my other browser. Running Windows XP (SP-3) all updates are installed.

Today there have been notable periods - usually of a minute or less, but on occasion longer - when WS has been down. (For everyone - checked these with the http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ site.) This could account for hangups of various natures.
