Facing more serious charges is Robert Holpuch, 57, of Valley View, who worked as a volleyball official for the Ohio High School Athletic Association at the time of his indictment.

Holpuch is charged with attempted rape, attempted kidnapping, attempted compelling prostitution and possessing criminal tools.

Investigators posed as a young girl on the internet and say Holpuch connected with the “girl” online at backpage.com.

“Mr. Holpuch made arrangements to meet and engage in sex with a 12-year-old girl and when he was arrested had alcohol and massage oil on his person,” said Brett Kyker, ICAC.

Fox 8 attempted to get a comment from the OHSAA but, have not yet heard back from the association.
