Jackson Township man accused of beating child to death - News - The Repository - Canton, OH
Aaron M. McKimm, 27, was arrested at a home in the 5000 block of Limerick Avenue NW at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday by agents with the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, Stark County Jail records show. He was jailed on warrants charging him with murder and felony endangering children.
McKimm was the only one supervising the child with other children in the home when the 8-month-old boy suffered fatal injuries on June 2.
He claimed the child had taken a short distance fall on a carpeted surface and at some point within an hour, the child became symptomatic.
Doctors told authorities that the injuries were the result of severe whiplash consistent with violent shaking combined with multiple forceful head impacts on a non-abrasive surface“. They also concluded that the child would not have been asymptomatic for a period following the injuries.
