Bowman was an evil nut case in 1967 and when he was finally caught and convicted many, many years later. How many other victims were there? How many similar murders might be linked to this guy?

Dawn Bascom, I agree with you there about her being a possible victim. From what little I read, it sounds like she may have escaped and he killed her. Her stabbings, do you know if those were post-mortem? I have read that COD is strangulation, but it would lend credence to the theory he stabbed her after death because he was in a rage that she foiled his plans about being held prisoner in the cellar of an abandoned house by escaping and him "having" to kill her. I read the wounds "below the hips" as being the 1967 way of saying she was sexually mutilated. Do we know if this was true, and again..were these post-mortem?
I don't know about Coon. There were reports she called her parents twice after 3 months of being gone, and her body has never been found?

And no, Eileen was certainly not Bowman's only victim. I seem to recall that Bowman traveled or "grifted" around the country. Does anyone remember this?

I wonder if the home still exists. Sure it's been nearly 60 years and likely multiple owners since, but you never know. If it was a coal cellar it may be relatively unchanged.

Also, the home is said to have been in he 2200 block of W. Sylvania, but one of the articles mentions it being a house near the corner of W. Sylvania and Douglas. The 2200 block isn't near Douglas.

Anyone ever read/know anything more on the house?

I found Robert Bowman's name on an Ohio inmate search with the department of corrections there. It shows him as having died in prison. No date though. I can find nothing more about this on a google search. If he were still alive he would be around 89 years old.

Yeah he did die a few years ago. No obit. Didn't deserve one.
