Could someone please alert on this thread when they confirm they have found Ellen?

There’s a lot of chatter about this case on Facebook. I won’t link it because I’m not sure if it’s allowed. It’s speculation, but the future sister in law of another woman, Katelyn Markham, thinks Katelyn’s disappearance is connected to the man they arrested for Ellen’s murder. Katelyn was a similar age, build, and looks a lot like Ellen. She, apparently, knew the suspect as well. A lot of women coming forward saying he raped them as well, one going so far as to say that he kept her captive. Again, this is all speculation at this point but I thought it interesting to note.

Same here- that one has bothered me for a long, long time. But IIRC there wasn't DNA in that case- right?

article in Post #15 said:
Strouse's first court appearance, originally planned for Wednesday (8/29), was continued to 1 p.m. Tuesday after the prosecution requested more time to prepare witnesses.

Re court appearance - would you take that as next Tuesday, 9/4?

Adding Ellie to my list.

RIP Ellie!

I was searching for Butler County & came up with this, but unfortunately, I can't access the site. New EU rules, I guess...

Butler County Area Courts

Can anyone check & see if he has court date on 9/4? TIA! :)

Ellen Weik: She filed a telecommunications harassment report in April, police say

A West Chester Township woman was being stalked by an unknown person before her slaying, multiple friends and acquaintances told The Enquirer.

Ellen “Ellie” Weik, 23, was reported missing to West Chester police on Aug. 1. Michael A. Strouse, 29, allegedly strangled Weik to death in his Liberty Township home. Last week, her body was found in a field in the area.

West Chester Chief Joel Herzog said during a Tuesday press conference that Weik made a “telecommunications harassment report” to police at some point before her death. He declined to discuss suspect information.

The report shows Weik received “harassing text messages from an unknown person.”
[.....]
“She said, ‘If I ever come up missing, it would be my ex-boyfriend with dreadlocks or (another man),'” said Dave Poynter, who lives across the street from the home where Weik and her mother lived.
