GUILTY OH - Freddie Miller, 2, raped & murdered, Warren, 28 Feb 2007

Family and friends gathered in front of the Trumbull County Jail on High Street Thursday afternoon to raise the Trumbull County Victims' Flag in memory of 2-year-old Fred Miller, whose death last week was ruled a homicide.
Miriam Fife, courtroom advocate for the Trumbull County Prosecutor's office, said the flag is raised any time a Trumbull County child is killed because of violence.

This is in my area. I didn't know there was such a thing as a Victim's Flag.... I think that's pretty awesome. It shouldn't be needed, of course, but I hope y'all know what I'm saying.

Randall M. Thomas, 24, of 1306 Fifth St., will be arraigned on a superseding indictment today in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court that charges him with the aggravated murder of Freddy Miller II and aggravating circumstances that he raped the boy and killed a child under age 13...

An affidavit unsealed Wednesday by Judge W. Wyatt McKay says that the boy had suffered multiple injuries to his head and torso and that an autopsy revealed what appeared to be bite marks on parts of the boy's body...

Warren police determined that Thomas had been staying with [the boy's mother] and his stepbrother since about the first week in February, providing baby-sitting services in lieu of rent.

According to Ohio DOC, Thomas is now serving 30 to life for aggravated murder:
