Negrelli's mother, Tricia DiCenso, said the FBI and U.S. Marshals have joined the investigation to track down the minor, who reportedly ran away to unite with a boyfriend from Canada that no one has ever met.
Negrelli doesn't have a passport, hasn't made any purchases with his bank account and hasn't turned on his phone in five days.
He also purchased black hair dye before running away.
DiCenso fears the person he's attempting to meet is a predator, and believes her son is in danger.

SEARCH INTENSIFIES FOR MISSING 17-YEAR-OLD HIGHLAND HEIGHTS BOY

Authorities in Highland Heights are still searching for the whereabouts of 17-year-old Jeremy Negrelli, who has been missing since last Saturday night.

According to Tricia, there was no tension within their family. Jeremy gave no hints about being unhappy or wanting to leave. Despite the fact that he is 17, Jeremy doesn't know how to drive and doesn't have a license, so he couldn't have driven off on his own.

Tricia describes her son as a 'homebody,' who spent a lot of time with his cat and mostly socialized online.

Her worst fear is that Jeremy ran off with a stranger he met online. There's a worry about his well-being because he hasn't logged on to any of his social media accounts or used his credit card since he left.

The Highland Heights 17-year-old who had not been seen since last Saturday night has been located in Texas, police confirm.

Authorities say Jeremy will be returning to Ohio shortly. It is still unknown why he was in Texas or how he got there in the first place.
